Your not dead,but something terrible has happened to you. A shadowy villain has torn your soul from your body using an experimental machine, leaving you trapped in a ghostly existence while your physical self lies dormant somewhere in the world. You are a researcher working on the machine that did this to you. Untethered is a puzzle adventure game where you play as a ghost on a desperate mission to reclaim your own body, navigating a world that can't see you while trying to fix and operate the machine to return your soul to your body. There is one person that knows your there and wants to help, your research partner.

A skill and resoure loop like no other!
Your only path back requires mastering two powerful forces. Ectoplasmic energy fuels your ghostly abilities, the eerie tricks and terrifying manifestations that make the living's skin crawl. But to physically interact with the world and operate the machine that can restore you, you need psychokinetic energy, and there's only one way to build it, scare people. The more you terrify the unsuspecting humans around you, the more power you accumulate to tackle the next piece of the puzzle standing between you and your body. It's a dangerous loop that demands creativity and strategy, pushing you to become a master of fear in order to reclaim the one thing the villain tried to take forever....yourself.
